Group Therapy

Sometimes we need emotional support, empathic understanding, and authentic encouragement from someone who experienced a similar life event as ourself. Group counseling is instrumental in healing emotional and psychological struggles people experience. Participants accept support from others leaving its members feeling less alone.

Each member decides his or her level of involvement by listening, sharing his or her story, asking questions and contributing support. Individuals may, at any time, decline to participate in any facet of group that feels uncomfortable.

A therapeutic group consists of three to eight people. Sessions meet weekly for an hour and a half. The fee for groups is $35 per session and is often covered by your insurance company Groups sessions will be forming shortly. Please call us at (631) 724-600 to put your name on our waiting list.
